Choosing the right width
for your coping

An incorrectly sized coping cannot properly fulfil its waterproofing role. Too narrow, it lets water through. Too wide, it overhangs unnecessarily and may suffer from wind. Here is how to choose the right series in 3 simple steps.

Step 1 — Measure your wall or parapet

Use a tape measure to measure the total width of the top of your wall or parapet, including the thickness of any render. This dimension determines which coping series to choose.

?

Total width

Measure the top of the wall from edge to edge, including render.

Side returns

Allow 30 to 40 mm of return on each side for waterproofing.

When in doubt

Always choose the larger series — wider = better protected.

Step 2 — Choose the corresponding series

Each SuissePliage series is designed to cover a range of wall widths. Find your measurement in the table below:

Wall width Recommended series Max. coverage
Up to 110 mm Series 150 mm 110 mm
Up to 160 mm Series 200 mm 160 mm
Up to 210 mm Series 250 mm Popular 210 mm
Up to 260 mm Series 300 mm 260 mm
Up to 310 mm Series 350 mm 310 mm
Up to 360 mm Series 400 mm 360 mm

Step 3 — Plan your accessories

Each SuissePliage series includes a complete set of compatible accessories for a professional installation:

1

90° Corners

For internal and external corners — clean finish without on-site cutting.

2

Junction sleeves

To join two copings end-to-end with guaranteed waterproofing.

3

End caps

To neatly close off the ends of the wall.

4

Grooved brackets

For concealed clip fixing — no visible screws.

SuissePliage Tip

When in doubt between two series, always choose the larger one — a slightly wider coping offers better protection and a neater finish.
