01 — Aluminium

Alloys, treatments and care

Aluminium sheet for custom folding by SuissePliage

Aluminium combines low weight, workability, corrosion resistance, non-toxicity and recyclability. It suits exterior folded parts and decorative surfaces.

Sheet type Alloy used
Natural aluminium 1050 (A5)
Anodized aluminium 5005 (A-G06)
Pre-coated aluminium 3003 / 3005 H24
Patterned aluminium 5754 H111

Anodizing

Electrolytic treatment with a layer of about 15 microns. Hard, insulating, attractive surface in matt metallic grey or bronze.

Powder coating

Chemical preparation, electrostatic powder application and oven polymerisation for adhesion, protection and colour.

Care

Clean with water and mild detergent, rinse and wipe softly. Avoid acids, alkaline cleaners and abrasives.

03 — Steel and stainless steel

Strength, protection and hygiene

Galvanized steel for sheet metal work

Galvanized steel

Steel provides strength, formability, machining and welding ability. The protection selected depends on exposure and expected appearance.

Sheet Protection
Raw / pickled oiled steel Paint or varnish required
Galvanized steel Zinc protection
Pre-coated steel Zinc and paint coating, main thickness 75/100
Corten steel Self-protecting patina
Stainless steel for custom folded parts

Stainless steel

304L stainless steel, containing nickel and chromium, offers strong corrosion resistance and excellent workability for kitchens, exteriors and decorative work.

Finish Application
Natural stainless steel Technical, pickled and protected
Brushed stainless steel Decorative, satin appearance
Mirror-polished stainless steel High reflectivity
Perforated stainless steel Ventilation and stainless cladding

Care: water and mild soap; avoid coarse abrasives and clean brushed finishes along the grain.

Aluminium sheet

Aluminium

Light, corrosion resistant and recyclable. Alloys: natural 1050, anodized 5005, pre-coated 3003/3005 H24 and patterned 5754 H111.

Finishes: approximately 15 micron anodizing or powder coating. Gentle cleaning without acids or abrasives.

Aluminium range

Alinox, tread, natural, pre-coated, perforated: 1 / 1.5 / 2 mm
Anodized: 1.5 mm
Post-coated: 1 to 6 mm
Galvanized steel

Galvanized steel

Strong and formable. Raw or pickled steel requires paint; galvanized steel uses zinc protection; pre-coated steel has zinc and paint, main thickness 75/100; Corten develops a protective patina.

Stainless steel

Stainless steel

304L stainless steel resists corrosion. Finishes: natural, brushed, mirror polished and perforated. Clean with water and mild soap.

Quick selection: powder-coated aluminium for coloured facades, galvanized steel for robustness and roofing, stainless steel for hygiene or a premium finish.
